Award Sectors

The Packaging News Sustainability & Impact Awards celebrate innovation, leadership and measurable progress across the packaging value chain.

Building on the legacy of the Environmental Packaging Awards, these awards set the benchmark of excellence for sustainable packaging design, business performance and circular innovation.

The awards are split into three category sectors:

• Packaging Projects – recognising the best packs championing sustainability across consumer and industrial applications
• Business & Leadership Impact – celebrating the people, teams and companies driving measurable environmental change
• Judges’ Choice – recognising outstanding circular innovation and material excellence, awarded at the discretion of the judging panel

ELIGIBILITY

Entries are welcome from organisations worldwide whose packaging, projects or initiatives are available or implemented in the UK market

Entries are welcome from organisations based anywhere in the world, provided the packaging, product, project or initiative has a UK presence — for example, through commercial availability, customer distribution, or operational implementation.

This ensures all entries can be assessed against relevant UK and European sustainability frameworks and consumer expectations, while reflecting the increasingly global nature of packaging innovation.

All entries must be based on projects, people or performance between January 2024 and March 2026.

We recommend entrants participate annually to maintain and improve their Benchmark of Excellence, tracking progress and demonstrating long-term impact.
