Sarah Ottaway
Sustainability and Social Value Lead
Suez

Sarah has more than 19 years’ experience in the resources sector, driving innovations and new approaches that challenge conventional thinking and deliver meaningful environmental, economic and social impact. From shaping and scaling SUEZ’s reuse activities for over a decade, including launching the company’s first reuse shop in 2013 which have grown into a national network of more than 40 shops and repair centres, to embedding sustainability and social value into the culture of the business, her work spans programme development, partnership building, and embedding sustainable practices that drive measurable environmental and social outcomes. She also plays a leading role in policy development, stakeholder engagement, and industry thought leadership, working with industry bodies, local authorities, and stakeholders to influence progress needed to accelerate a more circular, resource-efficient economy. Her passion for reuse and refill began early in life, as she is the proud daughter of a milkman, giving her first-hand experience of refill systems in action and shaping her interest in practical, everyday circular solutions.”
